I really enjoyed the plot of this book. I couldn’t decide who I thought Aces was the entire time. I think it also covers important topics such as racism and sexuality. I appreciated that the book jumped right into the nitty gritty of the plot. The only reason this isn’t a full 5 star for me is because I wasn’t aware they dropped out of the school? I knew they weren’t going, but it didn’t explicitly say it was because they dropped out. Then Devon mentioned it to the reporter and I felt that could have been a large plot point. Especially because one of Aces’ goals was to get them to drop out. It seemed to be brushed over.
Moderate: Bullying and Racism
Minor: Emotional abuse, Suicide, Car accident, Gaslighting, and Toxic friendship
