Alberto's Lost Birthday is a sweet, charming story about an old man who has lost his memories of his childhood, and his grandson who is determined to help him find his missing memories. Told in alternating points-of-view between Alberto and Tino's roadtrip in the present day and flashbacks of the past, the mystery of Alberto's lost childhood unfolds slowly as little by little he remembers things from his past. There was a plot twist near the end I did not see coming, and I found it interesting how this dual timeline narration makes it so that the reader actually knows more about Alberto's past than he himself does, in the end. 🌻🧡💛
