Sooooo, this was an experience in itself. Did this need to be more than 300 pages? No. Did the audiobook had to be 22 hours long? Also No. But it was not terrible and if you push through some scenes, you find comfort in each character individually. Despite his lack of depth, Mars was my favorite, Jake was a bit too much for me and Caleb was alright. Rachel was cool, despite her stating that she only cared about her professional career yet in the next page she would violate like 5 codes of ethics at a time.

I am glad there was not Third act breakup and that the "coming out" went by smoothly. I think that the author did a great job in developing her characters but at the same time, I am not sure if each and everyone of them fit with the rest. For example, Caleb and Mars had camaraderie but I do not think they care enough about each other to be tied to each other forever. Jake and Rachel calling each other Soulmates every 5 minutes got a little redundant. And Caleb's cagey attitude got old at the 60% mark. I cannot believe I will type this but, this was too much spicy, to the point that I was trying not to fast forward to through these scenes because it just felt unnecessary to the plot and just...too much.

I do want to continue the series because I have been told it gets better, and I like the characters the authors creates, so I think I will around
