2.5⭐️
It had potential, but in the end it was both too much and not enough. With 5 different viewpoints and a dual timeline, it was a lot to keep track of. The four friends' voices were not distinct enough and even listening to the audiobook it was hard to remember who was telling their story at any given moment. (Plus one of the teenage voices was SO annoying, like totally.)
Secrets and lies from over two decades ago collide with current day secrets and lies as it all comes crashing to an abrupt and unsatisfying conclusion.
