What a treasure this story is! The main character is a count in Moscow who is sentenced by the Bolsheviks to house arrest in a tiny room in a hotel the rest of his life. I fell in love with the endearing characters, the wittiness, the hilarious satire about communism. It's only February, and I already know this will remain one of my favorites this year. I even became more interested in the history of Russia along the way and love that their culture is so cleverly highlighted in this story format.
