Alex is left dealing with the guilt and aftermath of losing Darlington to the hellbeast.. but neither she or Dawes are ready to give up on him yet.

This read so much easier than Ninth House, the pacing was spot on and kept you gripped while not feeling rushed.

I loved the banter, the new friendships, the history, the research. Perfection

We meet some new characters, some new monsters and are reunited with some old monsters too so there’s a lot to digest but this is done in an easy to manage way and never felt too heavy.

Another reason to love Leigh Bardugo!

Darlington makes the perfect Gentleman Demon and the ‘glow stick’ remark had me laughing out loud!
