this was a cute story, but i wish the plot was stronger. i was really drawn in by the idea of a medieval statue coming to life and falling in love with an art conserver, who is then suspected of stealing the statue, but the whole theft storyline wasn’t at detailed out. it just felt like the author needed to come up with some side plot so its not all romance but it just wasn’t that good. also, i loved griffin at first, but after a while, he became nothing more than a caricature of a medieval knight and i got over it quickly. i also just never connected with emily which sucks because she’s the main character and i wanted to like her.
overall, i had an okay time reading, but something just never clicked for me
