I can’t believe I don’t see reviews about this—wtf was up with the Lusa/nephew arc ? Hated it and it was giving pedo sorry and that ruined a really well written character in my eyes. Odd. Anyway, this book was so beautifully written, and there were passages that moved me deeply. I also loved living in nature with this book (it’s a perfect spring read!) But I think this book suffered from being toooooooo long. The beginning dragged on and I’m shocked I finished it. I thought the second half of the book was fantastic, and this could’ve been a perfect read if it was ~200 pages shorter.
