Micalea wrote another fantastic book that I will never forget about. She is an amazing writer that wrote one of my least favorite tropes into one of my favorite books of the year. This book follows Via who is recently divorced and moves to a small town where she meets a 21-year-old man. Honestly, I would read anything Smeltzer writes because so far I have loved everything she wrote. This was another great story that deals with personal issues that the MCs try to overcome. I loved the small town setting and the way we got to discover so much of. The storyline was top notch and there wasn’t a moment in the book where I was bored. This book is told from both Via and Reid’s pov.

Via is the FMC and I loved her character. Her sister pushes her to have a one-night stand so she does only to realize he’s 11 years younger. I loved how she tried to figure herself out after her parents told her to have the life she never truly wanted. Then there is Reid who is such an amazing man and not a typical 21-year-old. He’s mature and cares so much for Via. There are also so many side characters in this book and so many I fell in love with that I would love to read their stories too. The romance trope is reverse age gap, one night stand, slow burn(ish) with quite a few steamy scenes.

The ending was great and I loved the ending for Reid and Via’s HEA. I do have to say that the epilogue spoils the next book so I was a bit shocked to see the epilogue go through when the next book is coming to the story which I can’t wait for. This book is great and I recommend checking it out.
