If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

5.0

This was one of the "hm this sounds interesting" books you find while doomscrolling on the Internet, and to my surprise not only was it interesting but also executed in a way that pleased me soooooooooo nicely.
We've got murder mystery, chaotic thespians, tangled romantic relationships, a dramatic but also naïve narrator and SHAKESPEARE all over this book. It was like it was written for me. This was so much fun.
The mystery was satisfying in a way that fits with the atmosphere of the book, I can tell you as much without spoilers. My only warning is if you don't prefer reading about dramatic characters from an dramatic character's perspective, this may not the book for you. I, personally, love the drama. I'm greek ffs of course I do.
