This was a quick read. I'd been looking forward to Nolan's book for a while, since Betting on Fate. I liked this book enough - the heroine was good. Nolan was fun and sexy. The scenes were hot. Unfortunately it didn't stack up compared to the other books in the series. Maybe I didn't really believe in the plot. Maybe the conflict wasn't really a conflict to me. Maybe Nolan wasn't as alpha compared to the other heroes in the series.

I think I'm used to a faster, more exciting pace with these books. Also the dirty talk was down 50% in this book and I was a tad bit disappointed. I think if this book was not part of the Serve series, and had not come after Porter and Will and Oliver I would like it more.

I'm still ready to read anything else Serve has to offer but I can't lie - I miss Tessa just a bit.
