The start was a little disjointed for me but everything links up soon enough. Plenty of twists and turns and red herrings, maybe a few too many? The conclusion wasn't super satisfying for me, a lot of things were rushed through without a lot of proper explanation. Still mostly an enjoyable read, the pace moves along quickly enough to stop you questioning things too deeply when they might not stand up to robust questioning. I won't rush to read the rest of the series but I'm open to reading more from the author if the premise seems interesting.
