King: A Life by Jonathan Eig

3.5

A comprehensive account of King's life, public and private, and his activism. Not a lot of this was new to me, as I have read a couple of King's own books and studied his teachings and life in other contexts. The best parts were the interviews, quotes from King himself, and characterizations of him by the author and those who knew him best. There was a fair amount of chronological plot dump which didn't always hold my attention, and I wanted to know more about the aftermath of his death, but the book just ends there.
