This book is Bad and not in a fun way. The writing is inconsistent in whether it wants to stick to reality or if it wants to veer into shock value. There were no less than NINE unabashed slurs in this, including against gay men. How this book is allowed to call itself an lgbtq+ book is BEYOND me. I feel disgusted that people think this book is ok to still recommend. The bigotry against gay people and disabled people, the use of the term powwow from White characters, the flippancy towards mental health and trauma. Do not waste your time reading this book.
