Ugh, leave it to Tessa Bailey to make me actually like a book with one of my least favourite tropes - being that the guy knew the girl when she was a kid AND she’s a virgin. I generally put those books down or just not read them altogether as I find them kinda cringe and a little creepy. But Tessa actually made this one enjoyable with the premise of Georgie wanting to be seen as an adult and taking no more shit. I could have gone without him mentioning the kid thing as much but it wasn’t too cringe bc Tessa’s writing is so enjoyable to me. The banter was amazing, the way he fell for her was making me turn pages quicker than ever. Loved the side characters as well and their girls club made to uplift one another! I loooove a good spicy af book but the tension was so great and the build up to sex wasn’t him walking on eggshells like most virgin tropes are, he did not treat her like she was breakable and the non sex scenes were hot. Only complaint is

the final act breakup with a rushed proposal and ending
