I have to say this MMC was a breath of fresh air after all the other Ana Huang males I've had the misfortune to read about. He dropped some lines and I appriciate him for that. Kai was surprisingly not toxic and kinda sweet? And Isabella was a solid FMC, nothing special. That being said, the story did not grab my attention enough to care too much overall.
It was a fun listen, although the man narrating Kai's chapters sounded like someone reading a textbook not a romance novel. 😅
I have not read/listened to the other books in this series yet, but I think I already prefer it to the Twisted books. The possible leading couples that were set up in this one seem interesting.
