"In my dreams and your fantasies, I think. It's okay, baby. You can be just as twisted as I am, and I won't judge you for it."
I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did!
I loved Violet from start to finish. I don't usually empathize with character's suffering, but I did for her. It's never easy to lose something that's already a part of yourself, and
Greyson, on the other hand... I had a love-hate relationship with him. There was a point where I didn't care if he redeems himself or he and Violet ends up together, because all I wanted was to see her succeed. Fuck the guy, right? But his redemption was good, enough for me to forgive his character. And I believe it didn't happen too fast—we actually get to see how it just gradually happened.
I want to praise the author for a good job. Violet and Grey was written perfectly. We see their flaws and internal struggles. And it was refreshing to read a dark romance without excessive spice scenes. Most of them I've read could be compiled into one single book already. It was just that much. This book though, no. It's the perfect balance for everything, which is why I loved it.
