The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
5.0

Clare and Henry are achingly beautiful characters with a love story after my own heart. The first time I read it, I knew I would never stoop to watching the film, because my imagination would be crushed. This story is timeless and yet its essence is time. It lends a whole new meaning to our beliefs about free will and the unknown future, which is one of my greatest fears. Niffenegger is an artist, a romantic, and a poet; her words strike every emotional chord flawlessly. Every time I read The Time Traveler's Wife, I am left excited at the end for when I get to revisit it like new, in my own future.
