The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting: The Tragedy and The Glory of Growing Up by Evanna Lynch

challenging dark emotional hopeful informative inspiring reflective sad tense slow-paced

3.5

This is a memoir that hits on really important and difficult subjects such as body image, eating disorders, recovery programs, parent/child relationships, etc. I found that I agreed with that Evanna was saying about programs that are made to help people recover from eating disorders and enjoyed that part of the book. I did feel like the middle dragged for awhile. The part about Harry Potter was pretty minimal and the last two decades of her life were reviews in the last hundred pages and she skipped around a lot. There was some language, lots of triggers, and a random mention of masturbation.
