One word: amazing! Loved this book from page 1 to the end! It manages to be a page-turner which treats a tough topic: the conflict between the ETA, Basque nationalists and considered as terrorists and the Spanish state, or its local representation through the police force!
It follows the fate of two families that are on two sides of this fight- the Txato who has been murdered by the ETA on the one side, and Joxe Mari member of the ETA on the other side. It follows the stories of each member of the two families, going forward and backward in the timeline! It's so beautifully executed in the plot that I could leisurely follow the storyline even though the narration timeline does not follow a chronological or any other order.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read and totally recommends it as a very enjoyable and good entry point into this conflict.
