This book is a conundrum to review.
On the one hand, the book and it’s characters are engaging, intriguing, and very clever. On the other hand, some of the twists became fairly obvious, and I don’t know if everything about the book earned its final twist—which was a huge gut punch.
And really, speaking of the end and its twist, maybe I’m too much of a romance girlie but like, we’re seriously having Oliver *with Meredith* again? There’s no resolution or reunion between him and James, after everything? That’s… so frustrating!
I did like this book, though, even if I didn’t love the final execution. So the final 3.25 rating feels fair!
