Well I am in tears at 3:37am. I have seen this book recommended so many times but I just never gave it a chance. I didn’t know half of this stuff about Trevor Noah, and really didn’t expect it to be a love letter to his mom. There are so many themes throughout his life story, but the main thread that ties it all together is a mother’s love for her son. Here I am 5 days postpartum, watching my baby boy sleeping peacefully, and I’m just absolutely inconsolable. Fantastic read. 5 stars easily.
