Juxtaposing the angry red head northern against the peppy southerner is boring. having the love arch revolve around one person periodically wanting to murder the other person just shouldn't be in a YA book aimed at teenage girls. I think the general idea and exploration of anger within women and girls is important and that aspect of the book was done well to YA standards. But everything else was just awful, and in some ways harmful, very very disapointing.
