Overall, the pacing was much better than Priory. However, the story in Priory was more interesting. Although I think it is a better book, I’m rating the same as Priory. I don’t believe Fallen Night could stand on its own. I think this would be a poor book to read before Priory, and a chronological reading would be confusing and messy experience.
