Not Like the Movies by Kerry Winfrey

5.0

Such a cute, heartwarming story. I like everything by Kerry Winfrey so I'm biased. I read this after finishing Waiting for Tom Hanks. It was nice to hear from Chloe's point of view, who is a much different narrator than Annie was.
If we're comparing NLtM and WfTH then I preferred this one because I liked Chloe as a character more than Annie. I thought she made more level-headed decisions and felt more well-rounded.

I always appreciate a story that takes place in Columbus, and this one was right back in German Village with special appearances by Ohio State's campus, Indianapolis and others.

Reading, Waiting for Tom Hanks, I didn't feel the need for a sequel like I wasn't dying to know more about Chloe but still appreciated another book in their world. Will we get a book from Tobin's perspective next?? Gary's??
