***Spoilers***

I slightly disliked this book. Aemyra constantly made foolish mistakes and was lead by her emotions. She also depended on her magic way too much. Time and time again, her magic was stripped from her by the priests but yet each time she tried to make a big play she tried to use her fire instead of learning from her mistakes.

Fiorean was boring from the moment we met him, all the way to the end of the book. I don’t see how Aemyra fell for him. I like Enemies to lovers but not legit true enemies. I don’t see how she looked past their history and said yep, that’s my man. Lol I feel like he was playing a part in the end but also no he could have stood up against the priests.

I will continue with this series because I want to know the end but Aemyra has to be better. No once did I see a bad ass FMC, nor did I see her act like a true Queen. She let Fiorean and her father control her actions to many times.
