This was a decent first book in a series. The lore of the Graced was well explained without being all exposition, which I appreciated. The characters were interesting, but there were a few too many to keep up with. One of my negatives about this book is that I was able to see the "twist" about the Last Prophet coming from a mile away. I'm sure this wasn't the case for everyone, but I do appreciate being surprised, so I was disappointed that it was so easy to guess. I also like to have at least one completely likable character, and everyone in this book was just a little too irritating for one reason or another. Having said that, I am definitely going to read the next book when it comes out in the fall.
