Idle Hands
by Cassondra Windwalker
you know what's upsetting? i'm sick and quite literally bed bound for a couple of days and i thought - hey! let me read this book that is described as a philosophical talk with the devil!
i, for a lack of better words, was lied to. i mean, i loved the devil at first (also named Ella) and i appreciated the whole concept - the assumption that one action could change the course of everything and possibly help you avoid calamity. i also appreciated the insights regarding domestic abuse. other than that, i was left mostly disappointed.
the devil was mostly boring to me and after the first couple yap sessions, seemed very repetitive. i also didn't really connect to any character for some reason?
anyway. 3 stars because whilst it could've been great, it wasn't bad either and the cover is stunning.
