I enjoyed the sequel to this duology slightly less than the first book.
There was something about this book that felt like it dragged a bit. I found myself putting it down more often than I did Divine Rivals.
There are still the same massive pros present in this book: Beautiful writing and loveable characters that have depth.
I believe the pacing is where I found issue. I feel the book could have been slightly shorter but I can't place why exactly.
The duology was ended in a way that felt natural and that wrapped up the series well.
