If I could give this book infinite stars I would. I feel head over heels for this book. Ezra and Ricki are compelling characters and the story was intriguing from the first page. Ricki’s growth once she gets to Harlem and finds her people is fantastic. Ezra’s story was heartbreaking. The way Tia Williams weaved all the characters and the history together was beautifully done. I’ve never felt the urge to re-read a book before this one.
