This book is a good omegaverse story where the omega, Darren, is a male presenting hockey player who just happen to scent match his pack after a nasty concussion. She's a beta who's been burned one too many times by alphas, so she's done with them, until she meets and scent matches Darren and the rest of the pack. The story itself it's enjoyable with satisfying sugar and plot. What I didn't like is the building up to the main event, the author wrote long drawn out passages with repetitive information, told from a different POV but didn't move the story along.. The HEA was somewhat predictable, but that was to be expected from a formulaic sub-genre.
