I couldn't put this book down, but it wasn't in necessarily a good way.
I loved the pain and angst and heartache that was in this book. I picked up this book wanting those vibes and it did deliver in that aspect.
I think this is a case of too much happening in one story. It's brother's best friend, friends with benefits, boss/employee, billionaire romance, getting over exes, plus his ex girlfriend was kidnapped, plus the FMC has a secret identity? There were too many tropes thrown into this making each of the tropes not hit as hard as they should of. Editing ideas down could have made this book 5 stars, but it was just too much. It made the book so fast paced and forced moments that should have been emotional to be glossed over.
I do recommend this book for anyone who likes angst and other woman/other man drama. This book was primarily jealousy and other woman/other man drama and I ate that up. I just really wish the author would have dialed a few things back to really pack a punch with this story. I'll probably still end up rereading it when I want that angst
