More Than This by Patrick Ness

3.0

I know in my head that this is a good book. The central character is strong and the central mystery is well crafted and certainly kept me turning pages. I mean, it's about existentialism, how awesome is that? But for me, it was ultimately more frustrating than compelling, and there was just something that didn't quite connect with me on an emotional level despite being intrigued by the themes and nuances of it. That's not to say I didn't like it, because I did, but...oh god, forgive me (and everyone else who's said it) for this one, but I wanted more than this.
