As a debut novel this one is quite impressive!
An intriguing Victorian era, gothic, romantasy with witches and werewolves? Yes please!
The plot is unique with interesting magic and politics. The mid-burn romance was well done with some very real angst and yearning. The world building was a bit lower on detail but the intricacies between witches and wolves was very well done with some good twists.
I loved the FMC and MMC. The banter was fantastic. It was refreshing to have an FMC that was intelligent, witty, strong, and brave. She has a lot of inner dialogue but I thought it worked well and made sense for her character. It was nice to have a FMC that knew her power and worth from the get go. The MMC was dreamy. Strong, clever, loyal, and broody - and a werewolf! Honourable, yet brutal only when necessary.
Overall I though it was a great read. I will definitely be watching for a sequel.
