This was weirdly good, even with the accelerated pace. The creation of the “monster” and how he functioned on his own was relatively well done. The relationship part was a bit bumpy for me, due to the speed. It felt good and wrong depending on the wording. That sounds weird, but like… when the characters have only know one another for 2 weeks or some ridiculously short amount of time and they say something like, “Bob never smiles like that.” ~ that feels wrong to me. Never is indicative to knowing people for a long time. It throws off the vibe for me. Now, I do need to say that some of this story hit me as hilarious. I am aware that it wasn’t meant to be funny, but some of it had me busting out laughing from some of the ridiculous and sometimes cringy wording. Overall, I actually really enjoyed this.
