The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien

5.0

People have been saying that the names in The Silmarillion are too much that makes this novel very difficult to read. It's somehow true, but when you keep referring to the index at the end of the novel, it's actually not that hard to keep up with the content.
I really enjoy my long journey with The Silmarillion, some chapters even made me cry! I feel like reading an epic written by Homère; the war and the conflict of the elves, and then men are so wonderfully written! It's definitely not an easy book to read for a beginner fantasy or Tolkien lover, but if you are already familiar with Tolkien's writing style, highly recommended.
