A deadly virus that began in Kansas in 2023 has wiped out, and continues to wipe out, the world's population.

I know, I know. Glutton for punishment.

This is post-2020, post-Brexit. We never learn our main character's name, but she is a badass who behaves the way more people should in novels when they realise they are possibly one of the only ones alive during a deadly pandemic - she freaks out, gets stoned out of her brains, and helps herself to the nice things she has always wanted to own from the now-empty shops.

This goes back & forth between now and the start of the virus in the UK, and I devoured this.

Plus, there's a dog.

There were a couple of genuine laughs in here too, which I wasn't expecting.
