I really loved this book and getting to know padme and her handmaidens on a much deeper level. We got to know each of them and their personalities and I liked that each handmaiden had her own skill set and personality. It was also great getting to watch padme settle into the role of being Queen Amidala
I thought the first half of the book was excellent and well paced however the pacing felt a little rushed when we caught up to the events of the phantom menace. I get not wanting to write out the entire events of a movie that already exists however I felt like we jumped between scenes from the movie very quickly and with big gaps between some major scenes. Then again despite this I really enjoyed the parts where we found out what other characters were up to whilst padme, qui gon, obi wan and anakin were on tattooine and what life on Naboo looked like during the blockade
Overall I really enjoyed this book and will definetly be reading the next installments :)
