Well this is the first time I've read a sport romance about boxing, but it definitely won't be the last. Laura Pavlov has well and truly drawn me in to the Magnolia Falls world.
Cleo is from a wealthy family, but is trying to make it on her own. Romeo is from a less than wealthy family, and was wronged by Cleos family many years ago. This makes a great set up for an enemies to lovers sport romance, with a side of forbidden romance too.
This isn't just all sweetness and light though, there are darker topics within, including sexual assault, drug and alcohol abuse although they are more just talked about as things that happened in the past rather than detailed fully within the book.
I really enjoyed Cleo and Romeos story, i loved Romeos friendship group and the banter messages between them all. Oh and Beefcake is a brilliant addition to the story.
Looking forward to the next book already.
