I really enjoyed this book. The concept is amazing, the execution is fantastic...but the ending is not an ending. It ends the same way a dramatic television show will end in order to get you to watch the next episode. In fact I even got advertised at (audio book) to pick up the next book. The ending is a great chapter ending to keep you page turning but not a book ending.
Given how much I loved this book throughout I expected the ending to at least feel like an ending. Instead of the chaos stuff is happening, what’s gonna happen next nonsense it ended up being.
Of course, I’m still gonna read the next two - but I’m highly annoyed that this was written as three books when it doesn’t even conclude nicely.
