A very fun and short read. This was the first book I’ve read about pirates, and I easily found myself immersed in its world. The overall story was a little predictable, but I didn’t mind it. There were a few shocks around the end that even I didn’t see coming though. I’d recommend this book to someone that wants a quick read that still drags you into the story with a tight grip.
Graphic: Confinement, Murder, Death, Injury/Injury detail, Kidnapping, Physical abuse, Violence, and Blood
Moderate: Alcohol, Child abuse, Gun violence, Alcoholism, and Torture
Minor: Death of parent, Pregnancy, and Rape
