Absentee Indians and Other Poems by Kimberly Blaeser

dark emotional hopeful reflective tense slow-paced

This was a far sadder collection of poems than the other collection of Blaeser's that I've read (Apprenticed to Justice) and felt rooted in specific moments that I would expect to see in a memoir. There was still a lot of imagery of the natural world, and metaphorical connections between the two.
