Bone Crier's Moon

DNF at 25% . I read this book purely because of the cover and ignored the mixed reviews. I honestly knew it wasn't going to be great and I've definitely learnt my lesson. First off I listened to the audiobook and I could not stand Bastien's narrator. He was like trying to go for something edgy but it did not work at all.
Probably my biggest issue with it was that despite the characters being 16-18 years old, they all spoke like they were younger than 12. Do you really expect me to believe that a character who speaks like that is a thief or a trained killer? Sabine and Ailesse were just annoying and I was also super bored lol.
Maybe it would have been better if I hadn't listened to the audiobook version, but I don't think it would've helped very much. Bone Crier's Moon has a beautiful cover and an interesting premise but ultimately the thin plot and annoying characters makes for a not so great book.
