This book is such a comfort read for me. I love these characters and they read so natural and real. Having been in highschool around the time they were adds a bit of nostalgia to it. I like Connell's transition from a small town to big city and how he is unable to fit in both. Marianne & Connell's relationship is fascinating and beautiful and I love how messy it is, having struggled with anxiety and communication issues as well I found myself reminiscing a lot to my past relationships while I read it and having to pause a lot, part of why it took me so long to read it. Anyway I think I'll be coming back to this book time and time again just for the feelings.
