The War I Finally Won by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley
4.0
It was nice to be with these characters and back in this world again. This one wasn’t as strong as the first book in terms of emotion and detail. I found it kind of strange about the amount of ambiguity around Becky in the book. She was clearly Susan’s lover…do they just not talk about it because it was the 40s, or because the reader should infer it, or because it’s a middle grade book? I found that kind of odd that it was still vague by the end of the second book. The Jonathan story line was my favorite part. I also enjoyed Lady Thorton with Ada in London.
