A fun but flawed romcom from a debut author. The initial premise is intriguing but it isn't as fun and campy as it easily could've been. It's very well paced but not everything feels necessary. I like how it indulges in the glamor of the rich and famous without ever losing sight of things like poverty and misogyny and the death grip they have on those effected. I see a lot of potential here that I'm looking forward to see expanded on through this author's career. Recommend as a light cozy beach read or pre bedtime book.
