um, huh… this was a crazy ride. the human POVs were fine (for the most part). the animal POV, though? confusing and really… unnecessary? the ending was a shock. not what i expected certainly and pretty disturbing. up till then (aside for the weird animal POV), the story had been gripping and really kept me engaged. the freaky ending definitely lowered this books overall score for me though. not this author’s best work, IMO.
