This was one of absolute teenage year favorites. I was so scared it would not hold up anymore but I was so wrong.
This is still one of my favorite fantasy series I believe. The first book of the trilogy is so fun, as we see Sonea introduced and the basic concepts of this universe.
Sonea is SUCH a good female protagonists. She is tough and enduring. Kind and curious and super thirsty for knowledge. I really love her. The rest of the cast is also great, Rothen is a great mentor character, Ciri (spelling?) brings me joy and Dannyl's whole deal... He was one of the reasons I went really all in on LGBT literature originally!
