Can't say that I get it. There were multiple times that the dialogue made me cringe. It felt like the book kept building up to having something to say, but I never saw it pay off.

I guess it was supposed to just be a volume that introduced the protagonists? The case itself felt drawn out and disjointed. The leads were apparently all red herrings and didn't really have anything to do with the final reveal, which was itself a letdown.

Maybe the series gets better, but I can't say I find myself caring enough to pick up the next volume.
