Anne of Green Gables is such a beautiful book. It's amazing seeing this girl who has been through so much be so grateful and bright when her past was so tragic. Seeing Anne find true friends and love from Marilla, Matthew, and Diana is heartwarming. Seeing her mature from a girl who was always in fairytale land to a responsible, but still creative woman is amazing. Anne works hard to achieve what see needs to. I didn't realize that Matthew died and was devastated. Their happy family was no longer. However, it's heartwarming to see Anne turn down college, the one thing she really wanted, to take care of Marilla. It really shows the love and bond that they have created over the years. Overall, it's a really sweet book about found family.
